On 30 September 2009, The Resolution 7552/2009 extended the initial resolution 3433 from 2008. As of November 2009, Argentina introduced mandatory domestic supply levels for corn and wheat. When these targets are met, export restrictions are removed for the respective products. Hence, restrictions are eliminated for exporters that agree to satisfy the domestic market needs.
Under the provisions of the Resolution 3433/2008 of August 27, 2008 the government of Argentina requires that all exports are registered and the government has the authority to decide on rejecting or delaying export transactions depending on the domestic price and supply conditions. Such restrictions were previously used for export of wheat, corn, beef and dairy products.
