NoOn July 7, 2009, the Argentinian authorities decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of manually operated lighters, of a kind used in kitchens, with or without gas load, from China (Resolution 216/2009, 07.07.2009).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 9613.8000.
The complaint was lodged by Vali S.A.I.C. y F. The investigation started on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on July 11, 2009.
On March 19, 2010, the Argentinian authorities decided to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of the investigated products from China (Resolution 58/2010, 19.03.2010).
The provisional duty consists in a minimum export FOB price of USD 3.65 per unit. This provisional anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on March 30, 2010, and is applicable for a period of four months.
On January 13, 2011, the Argentinian authorities decided to terminate the investigation without imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty (Resolution 9/2011, 13.01.2011). Resolution 9/2011 was published in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic on January 24, 2011.
