On 6 July 2015, the government of Argentina introduced an updated list of "criterion values" for imports of polyethene terephthalate (HS 3907.60.00). The updated criterion values for imports of polyethene terephthalate correspond to a FOB Value of USD 1.50 per kg. The previous import criterion values corresponded to a FOB value of USD 1.80 per kg.
The updated list of "criterion values" introduced in 2015, refer to the following countries: South Korea, North Korea, China, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal, Canada, United States of America, Mexico, Finland, Norway, Poland, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Romania, Russian Federation, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Oman.
The previous import criterion values for polyethene terephthalate only corresponded to South Korea, North Korea, China, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam.
Following the GTA de minimis rule, only trading partners with imports to Argentina exceeding USD 1 million are listed as affected.
On 25 January 2019, the Federal Administration for Public Revenue of Argentina adopted General Resolution 4404/2019 eliminating the import criterion values set on tariffs subheading 3907.60.00 (please, see related state acts).
