Import tariff

On August 31st, 2009, the Brazilian government announced tariff reductions on the ad-valorem import duty from 8% to 0% for jute, from 10% to 2% for diamonds and from 8% to 2% for precious stones classified under the items 5303.10.10, 7102.39.00 e 7103.10.00 of the the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM) tariff code.
