NoThe Indian Cabinet Committee for Economic Affairs sets annually the Minimum Support Prices for cocunut based products "Milling Copra" and "Ball Copra" (HS 1203). If the market prices fall below these prices, the farmers can sell an unlimited amount of crop to the government at these minimum prices. These support prices can distort prices in international markets where they are directly sold, or the prices of end products for which the crops are used.
The table below presents the evolution of the Minimum support prices (in INR) over the years.
