On 23 April 2022, the government of the Russian Federation published Decree No. 732 obligating oil companies to increase their minimum share of gasoline sales on domestic markets. More specifically, from 23 May 2022, oil companies will have to sell 12% of the total motor gasoline production volume at the exchange auctions. Additionally, 8.5% of total diesel production volume must be sold at the stock exchange. Previous values were set at 11% and 7.5%, respectively.
According to the Decree, the measure is taken in order to maintain a stable situation in the domestic gasoline and diesel market.
