On September 30, 2015 a group of four producers (i.e., Bristol Metals, LLC, Felker Brothers Corp., Outokumpu Stainless Pipe Inc., and Marcegaglia USA) filed a petition seeking the imposition of anti-dumping and countervailing duties on imports of welded stainless pressure pipe from India. The case continued when the U.S. International Trade Commission reached an affirmative preliminary injury determination on November 13, 2015. The International Trade Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce published its preliminary affirmative dumping determination on May 10, 2016, and on September 23, 2016 it announced its affirmative final determinations in the AD and CVD investigations.
On October 25, 2016 the U.S. International Trade Commission determined that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of these imports. As a result of the USITC's affirmative determinations, the Department of Commerce will issue anti-dumping and countervailing duty orders on imports of these products from India.
