Export-related non-tariff measure, nes
On 5 January 2015, the Indonesian Ministry of Trade announced regulation 03/M-DAG/PER/1/2015 amending the conditions for exporters of crude oil, condensates, LNG and CNG. With the new legislation, exporters will be required to provide a report from a surveyor certified by the Ministry for each cargo shipment.
According to Oentoeng Suria & Partners law firm (cf. Sources), this regulation and another legislation passed on the same day regarding letters of credit (cf. Related Measures) "are intended to work together with regard to the survey and customs clearance of cargoes".
The regulation came into force 90 days after its announcement, i.e. on 4 April 2015.
