Import tariff

 On 24 December 2014, the Indian Ministry of Finance through Notification No. 34/2014-Customs increased the import duty on crude edible oils from 2.5% to 7.5% and on refined edible oils from 10% to 15%.
 
The duty on refined edible oil was last increased on 9 January 2014 while those on crude oils was imposed on 23 January 2013. The duty has since been increased by 5% for both types on 17 September 2015.
