Import tariff quota

On 30 July 2014, Mexico's Secretariat of Economy published a regulation in the Official Federal Gazette introducing tariff-rate quotas on chicken. The measure was specified in a following regulation published on 14 August 2014 establishing a duty free quota of 100'000 tons applicable to the following tariff codes:

  • 0207.13.01
  • 0207.14.01
  • 0207.26.01
  • 0207.26.99
  • 0207.27.01
  • 0207.27.99

 
The quotas took effect on 15 August 2014 and were supposed to expire by 31 December 2014 but have been extended to apply to each year, according to a regulation published in the Official Federal Gazette of 26 December 2014.
 
Related Measure
Measure no. 5852 from 2013 represents also a tariff-rate quota on chicken. It affected the same tariff line but other sub-headings.
