Export tax

 On 24 August 2015, the Indian government increased the Minimum Export Price (MEP) on onions from USD 425 per Metric Tonne (MT) to USD 700 per MT.

The MEP was last reduced in June 2015 from USD 250 to USD 425 per MT. Also, it was later reduced to USD 400 per MT in December 2015 (see related measures)
