Import tariff quota

On 17 June 2015, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) issued Resolution no. 53 altering tariff-rate quotas on four items carrying a Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM) code:

  • Lignosulfonates (NCM 3804.00.20): duty reduction from 10% to 2% for a quota of 72'000 tons and a period of 12 months, starting 18 June 2015
  • Molybdenum steel (NCM 7202.70.00): duty reduction from 6% to 2% for a quota of 2'911 tonsand a period of 12 months, starting 18 June 2015
  • Monoisopropylamine (NCM 2921.19.23): duty reduction from 14% to 2% for a quota of 26'282 tons and a period of 12 months, starting 23 July 2015
  • Dimethylamine (NCM 2921.11.21 ): duty reduction from 12% to 2% for a quota of 7'000 tons and a period of 12 moths, starting 23 July 2015
