Anti-dumping

On July 14th, 2015, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of acrylic fibre from Japan, South Korea and Turkey (MOFCOM Announcement No. 22 of 2015, 14.07.2015).
The product subject to investigation is classified under the following HS codes: 5501.3000, 5503.3000 and 5506.3000.
The complaint was lodged on May 29th, 2015 by several Chinese producers on behalf of the domestic industry.
 
On 2 April 2016, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China decided to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of the above-mentioned goods originating in Japan, the Republic of Korea and Turkey (Announcement No. 9 of 2016). The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Japan is 15.8%, 16.9% or 17.8% depending on the company. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in the Republic of Korea is 6.1%. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Turkey is 10.7%.
