Import tariff quota

On 20 May 2015, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) issued Resolution no. 43 introducing four tariff-rate quotas on goods carrying the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM):
 

  1. Acrylics and modacrylics (NCM 5503.30.00): quota of 3'744 tons, tariff rate of 2% (from 16%), for a period of 12 months, starting 26 June 2015
  2. Acrylics and modacrylics (NCM 5501.30.00): quota of 7'920 tons, tariff rate of 2% (from 16%), for a period of 12 months, starting 21 May 2015
  3. 4-Chloro-alfa, alfa, alfa-trifluoro-3.5dinitrotoluene (NCM 2904.90.14): quota of 4'404 tons, tariff rate of 2% (from 14%), for a period of 24 months, starting 21 May 2015
  4. Waste-pipes (Ex01 of NCM 8539.39.00): quota of 23.918.190 units, tariff rate of 2% (from 18%), for a period of 12 months, starting 23 July 2015

 
Update
On 19 February 2016 the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) revoked the above standing tariff rate quota on 4-Chloro-alfa, alfa, alfa-trifluoro-3.5dinitrotoluene (NCM 2904.90.14).
