"Only specific products are liable to export duty and these are listed, in Annex 4.2 to this inventory, by their HS code, their description, and the respective ad valorem rate to be applied to the Customs (FOB) value of the goods."

Export tax

On 1 February 2010, the government of Afghanistan introduced export duties on certain natural resources (Letter CS2-538570 of the Ministry of Finance of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan). The duties vary from 2.5 to 40 percent depending on the product.
