In April 2015, the government of Egypt initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of wet wipes from Turkey. In January 2016, a definitive duty was imposed. In January 2021, the definitive duty expired.

On April 14th, 2015, the Egyptian authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of wet wipes originating in Turkey. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheading: 3307.
On 28 January 2016, the Egyptian authorities imposed a definitive duty on above products from Turkey. The rate of the duty is 72% of the CIF, however minimum of USD 0.04 per package of 1 to 24 wet wipes; minimum USD 0.21 per package of 25 to 80 wet wipes; and minimum USD 0.31 per package of 80 or more wet wipes.
On 24 January 2021, Egypt terminated the definitive duty on imports of wet wipes from Turkey.
