Anti-dumping

On June 26th, 2015, the Secretary for Foreign Trade of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of rubber tires for use in agricultural vehicles and machines (diagonal construction) from China (Circular No. 41, 26.06.2015).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 4011.6100, 4011.6990, 4011.9210, 4011.9290 and 4011.9910.
The complaint was lodged on April 30th, 2015 by the National Association of the Tyre Industry (Associação Nacional da Indústria de Pneumáticos - ANIP) on behalf of the companies Pirelli Pneus Ltda. and Titan Pneus do Brasil Ltda. The investigation started on the day of the publication of the circular in the Federal Official Gazette of Brazil, i.e. on June 29th, 2015.

On September 15th, 2015, the Secretary for Foreign Trade of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade decided to terminate the investigation without imposing any duty due to the lack of information provided by the domestic industry to judge the existence of injury (Circular No. 59, 15.09.2015).
Circular SECEX No. 59 was published in the Federal Official Gazette of Brazil on September 16th, 2015.
A similar anti-dumping investigation was initiated in December 2015. For further details please see related measure.
