Production subsidy

 On 17 June 2015, Pakistan Economic Coordination Committee took the following decisions - 
 

  • The regulatory import duty on sugar was increased from 20% to 40%.
  • The regulatory duty on import of wheat was increased from 25% to 40%.
  • The time period for export of wheat and wheat flour from the provinces of Sindh and Punjab has been extended from 30 April to 31 July 2015
  • An aid of Rs. 64 million was approved for payment of salaries to employees of Pakistan Machine Tools
  • Also, an aid for the Pakistan Steel Mills was approved (undisclosed amount) for payment of the salaries of months January and February (see related measure).
