In May 2015, the government of Turkey initiated a new anti-dumping investigation. In August 2016, a definitive duty was imposed. In July 2021, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in July 2022.

On May 15th, 2015, the Turkish authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of seamless tubes, pipes and hollow profiles of iron (other than cast iron) or steel from China (Notification 2015/19, 15.05.2015). The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheading: 7304. The complaint was lodged by Sardogan Endüstri ve Ticaret.
On 12 February 2016, the Turkish authorities imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of the above-mentioned products from China (Notification 2016/3, 12.02.2016).
The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in China is 22.15% and 50.35% of the CIF valued depending on the exporting company. This measure will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months.
On 4 August 2016, the Turkish authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of the above-mentioned products from China (Notification 2016/35, 04.08.2016). The rate of the duty is USD 100 or 120 per tonne depending on the company.
On 31 July 2021, the Turkish authorities announced the initiation of a sunset review of the definitive duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China. This follows the application lodged by Sardoğan Industry and Trade – Mehmet Sardoğan.
On 27 May 2021, the Turkish Directorate of Imports recommended, to the evaluation of the relevant parties, to extend the antidumping duty on imports of the subject good from China. The investigation is still in progress.
On 9 July 2022, the Turkish authorities issued a regulation extending the definitive duty imposed on imports of seamless tubes, pipes and hollow profiles of iron (other than cast iron) or steel from China following the conclusion of the sunset review.
