Local operations

On 6 February 2015, the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) announced to finance the municipality of Uberlândia (MG) with 36 million real (USD 12.01 million) through its credit line on fiscal administration modernization (BNDES PMAT). The loan is going to finance IT-related equipment and vehicles, amongst others.

The measure is considered to be discriminatory, since BNDES's PMAT credit line requires a national content of at least 60% on equipment.
