Anti-dumping

On October 17th, 2013, the Argentinian authorities decided to initiate a sunset review of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of electric smoothing irons originating in China (Resolution 647/2013, 17.10.2013).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 8516.4000.
This follows the request lodged by Metalúrgica Crivel S.C. and Axel S.A.

The original anti-dumping duty was imposed on October 20th, 2008 by Resolution 533/2008.

On April 15th, 2015, the Argentinian authorities concluded the expiry review and decided upon the continuation of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of electric smoothing irons from China (Resolution 244/2015, 15.04.2015).
The new amount of the duty is USD 13.22 per item for dry electric irons and USD 15.41 per item for electric steam irons.
This definitive anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day of the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on April 17th, 2015, and is applicable for a period of five years.
