Import quota

On 11 December 2009, the Turkish government introduced an import quota for rice. Between 31 December 2009 and 31 December 2010 the amount of 100,000 tons may be imported duty free.
The rate outside this quota varies between 34%-45% for all countries of the world except Bosnia. 
 
Related Measure: In Decree 2013/4517 the Turkish government states a 100,000 quota for rice starting from 26.04.2013 and ending 01.09.2015. 
 
There were no interventions between 2011 and 2013 relating to this quota.
