Import quota

On 24 August 2012, the Turkish governent introduced an import quota for barley and wheat. Effective retroactively from 2 July 2012, the following quantities may be imported duty free:

  • 500,000 tons of barley may be imported duty free (out-of-quota rate: 130% for all world except Bosnia)
  • 1,000,000 tons of wheat may be imported duty free (out-of-quota rate:130% for all world except Bosnia)

This ruling expires on the 31 May 2014.
