Import tariff quota

On 13 November 2014, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) issued Resolution no. 104 introducing tariff rate quotas on the following goods:

  • Caustic soda for production of aluminium (NCM 2815.12.00): the customs duty went from 8% to 2% for a period of 12 months and a quota of 360.000 tons
  • Ethyl acrylate (NCM 2916.12.20): the customs duty went from 12% to 2% for a period of six months and a quota of 7.000 tons, starting 24 February 2015

 
The measure took effect on 14 November 2014 and lasts until 14 November 2015 at the latest.
