Import quota

On the 31 December 2009, the Turkish government introduced a quota for compressors being used in aiconditioning systems for the first time. According to this ruling 400,000 units may be importedduty free.
The quota was envisioned to expire on 31 December 2010. However, it was subsequently prolonged until the introduction of a new quota on 24 March 2012.
The out-of-quota import rate for South Korea is 1.1% and for all countries of the world 2.2%. Imports from EU/EFTA, Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo, Monte Negro, Bosna and Herzegovina, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Israel, West Bank, Gaza, Mauritius, Albania and Georgia are duty free.
