Press release by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries of Denmark:
The action plan (in Danish):
On 30 January 2015, the Danish government announced a new action plan to foster organic agriculture in the country. With a budget of 53.7 million EUR (400 million DKK), Denmark hopes to double its area of organic production used in 2007 by 2020.
The 67-point plan shall achieve this, e.g., by serving more organic food in the public sector (previous plan of 60% of the food being organic) and by extending the contract periods signed with private farmers in order for them to have enough time to convert to organic farming.
