Tax or social insurance relief

In 2010 the state of Michigan provided an incentives package to fortu PowerCell, Inc. for advanced battery manufacturing. The subsidies include $100 million state battery tax credits and $12.6 million in MEGA tax credits. The company also received an Industrial Property Tax Abatement of unknown value.
 
The GTA includes state guarantees and other financial incentives thatare likely to affect the restructuring and performance of firms facinginternational competition, whether from imports, in export markets, andfrom foreign subsidiaries.
