Tax or social insurance relief

In 2012 state and local governments in Alabama provided an incentives package to Airbus for an aircraft assembly plant. The state portion of the package was about $125 million in cash and tax credits, while the city, county, and Mobile Airport Authority contributed about $33 million, much of it for site preparation and construction. The headquarters of Airbus is in Toulouse, France.
 
The GTA includes state guarantees and other financial incentives thatare likely to affect the restructuring and performance of firms facinginternational competition, whether from imports, in export markets, andfrom foreign subsidiaries.
