Import quota

On 24 March 2015, the Indonesian Director General for Foreign Trade, Partogi Pangaribuan, announced Indonesia would substantially increase the quota for raw sugar imports in the second quarter of 2015.
The quota for April-June 2015 has been increased to 945'643 tonnes. In the first quarter, the Trade Ministry planned to issue import permits only for up to 672'000 tonnes.
Due to the unavailability of trade data from the UN COMTRADE database for 2014, the list of affected trading partners was based on the trade volumes for 2013.
