Import tariff

On the 6 February 2015, the Turkish Government has decided to impose additional import duties of 25 percent on some hand tools e.g. meat grinder, mixer, screwdrivers and bits, threading tools , saws, hand tools , drills, Switches, razors , cutlery is the knife , the source lamps, coffee and spice grinders, ice cream machines, pencil sharpeners and blades , manicure, pedicure tools, wheelbarrows.

Additional duties are imposed collectively with the MFN import duty set by the Decree on Import Regime. Notably, Turkey’s FTA partners and EU countries are exempt from additional duties.

On 21 April 2020, the government of Turkey temporarily increased the additional duties (see related state act).
