On July 25, 2014, the Indonesian authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of biaxially oriented polyethelene from China, India and Thailand.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 3920.6200.
On 7 December 2015, the Indonesian authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on above products from China, India and Thailand (Regulation No. PMK-221/PMK.010/2015) The amount of duty imposed on imports from China is 2.6% or 10.6% depending on the company. The amount of duty imposed on imports from India is between 4.0% and 8.5% depending on the company. The amount of duty imposed on imports from Thailand is between 2.2% and 7.1% depending on the company.
