Export-related non-tariff measure, nes

On 23 February 2015 was approved Decree Nr. 31 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan. It amends Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan Nr. 174 of 15 April 1999.
Effective 1 June 2015, the rule allows the payment in freely convertible currencies for selected goods which are exported on the basis of transactions on the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX). The list of goods is stated in the appendix of the Decree.
The purpose of this state measure as stated in the original document is to boost trade effectiveness and to increase foreign currency income. Other things being equal, it may be classified as liberalising because it removes a trade restriction concerning the currency of the transactions.
