On August 25, 2014, the Egyptian authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of polyethylene terephthalate originating in China, Chinese Taipei, India, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 3907.60.
On 2 November 2015, the Egyptian authorities terminated the above investigation on the ground that no causal link between injury and dumping had been found.
