Anti-dumping

On January 17, 2014, the Argentinian authorities decided, after having conducted a sunset review, to continue the anti-dumping duty on imports of three-phase liquid dielectric transformers (power greater than 10,000 KVA but not exceeding 600,000 KVA) originating in Brazil (Resolution 13/2014, 17.01.2014).
The products subject to the duty are classified under the following HS code: 8504.2300.
The rate of the duty is 38% of the FOB price.
This definitive anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day of the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on April 8, 2014, and is applicable for a period of five years.
This duty follows a review requested by the Argentinian Chamber of Industrial Members for Projects and Engineering of Capital Goods (Cámara de Industriales de Proyectos e Ingeniería de Bienes de Capital de la República Argentina - CIPIBIC). A sunset review was then initiated by the Argentinian authorities on July 17, 2012 (Resolution 380/2012, 17.07.2012). Resolution 380/2012 was published in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic on July 19, 2012.

The original anti-dumping duty was decided on July 18, 2007 by Resolution 2/2007. It entered into force on the day of the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on July 23, 2007.
