Export quota

On 10 November 2008, the Ministry of Commerce issued the Announcement on Including Phosphate Ore into the Management of Export Quota License (MOF Notice No.92 of 2008).
 
The export quota on phosphate ore in 2009 is 1,500,000 tons. (Relevant HS codes: 25101010, 25101090, 25102010, 25102090).
 
Quota application requirements on phosphate-exporting companies include:

  1. Must be registered in China and have valid certificates/licenses.
  2. Must have exported more than 20,000 tons (for producers) or 10,000 tons (for wholesalers) of phosphate ore from 2006 to September 2008.
  3. Own the flotation separation machine and gravity concentrator for mid- and low-grade phosphate ore.
  4. Pass th environmental regulations.
