Import tariff

On 24 February 2010, Indonesia granted government borne import duties to a variety of products used in aircraft repairs and maintenance.

"Government borne" means that the import duty will be refunded by the state. Even though the importer has to pay the regular duty upfront, the measure could also be regarded as a zero tariff for the importer.

The measure is temporary and will expire on 31 December 2010.
The budget ceiling of the duty relief is 312 billion IDR, which amounted to about 32 million USD.
An exact list of materials can be found in the annex of the regulation.
