Import quota

On 30 September 2011, the Republic of Korea increased the market access quota (MAQ) for pork (HS 0103.10) and potato(HS 0701.90) by a total of 3'000 live pigs and 4'500 tons of potato. This measure is valid from 30 September to the end of 2011.
 
The MAQ for pork increased from 5'000 to 8'000 units. For potato, the increase is from 25'700 to 30'200 tons. Tariffs for each item are 0 and 18 percent within the MAQ. Beyond the MAQ, tariffs of 18 and 370 percent apply.
