Export tax

On 30 December 2010, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan increased the export duty on crude oil (codes 2709.00.90.03, 2709.00.90.0 ) from USD 20 to USD 40 per tonne. The export duty enters into force on 1 January 2011 and was instituted through Decree No. 1445.
 
Update
On 14 April 2013, the duty was again raised to USD 60 per tonne. Hence, this measure is no longer classified as active.
