Labour market access

On 15 May 2014, the European Parliament and the European Council issued Directive 2014/66/EC, allowing non-EU nationals to move from a non-EU country to a Member Country in case the relocation is due to a new placement within the same company. In case the relocation is permanent, the whole family of the respective non-EU national is allowed to move to the new country too.
The Directive went into force on 27 May 2014 and Member Countries have time until 29 November 2016 to transpose these changes into national law.
This Directive is part of a larger reform programme for non-EU nationalswho want to work in a Member Country (see 'Related Measures').
