Anti-dumping

On December 4, 2014, the European Commission announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on imports of tartaric acid from China (Notice No 2014/C 434/07).
This investigation is limited to one Chinese exporting producer, Hangzhou Bioking Biochemical Engineering Co. Ltd.
The product subject to investigation is classified under the following HS code: 2918.1200.
The complaint was lodged on October 21, 2014 by Distillerie Bonollo S.r.l., Caviro Distillerie S.r.l., Industria Chimica Valenzana S.p.a. and Distilleries Mazzari S.p.a., companies representing more than 25% of the EU production of the subject good.
On 11 February 2016, the European Commission terminated the anti-dumping investigation on imports of tartaric acid from the Chinese exporting producer, Hangzhou Bioking Biochemical Engineering Co. Ltd. (Notice No 2016/176).
