Export quota

On 27 December 2012, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of China issued the first batch of export quota on rare earth for 2013. The export quota on light rare earth is 13561 tons. The export quota on middle and heavy rare earth is 1938 tons. The total export quota on rare earth is 15499 tons.
 
Comparing to the first batch announcement in 2012, there is around 40% increase in quota on light rare earth, and around 10% increase in quota on heavy rare earth.
