According to a notice of the Permanent Delegation of Australia to the WTO of 11 May 2012, as part of the domestic 2011-12 budget was introduced the "Buy Australia at Home and Abroad" scheme. The Government has announced it has planned to invest more than $50 million "in supporting Australian industry win opportunities from the resources boom and other large procurements", and it has the goal to 'reinforce local firms competitive position in procurement bids'. In her speech Senator Kate Lundy (1st provided source) made clear that the programme was cut in the 2014 Federal Budget. Under this state initiative were employed supplier advocates 'to identify international opportunities for Australian manufacturers'.
