Import quota

On 31 March 2011, the government of the Republic of Serbia approved a full import duty exemption for 100 000 tonnes of wheat. The quota is open until filled or until 15 July 2011, which ever comes first.

This import quota is related to concerns over domestic wheat and flour supply due to strong exportsin the early months of 2011. The same concerns led the Serbian government simultaneously implement an export ban for wheat and flour (see related measure).
