On 6 March 2012, the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture announced regulation 15/2012expanding the places of entry for fresh fruits and vegetables.
According to the new regulation, 'in addition to the 'four' places of entry (..), places of entry that are designated as free ports based on legislation on free trade and free ports may be used as place of entry of fresh fruits and/or fruit vegetable' (art. 17 of regulation 15/2012).
The regulation came into force on the day of its enactment, i.e. on 7 March 2012. It was, however, replaced by regulation 42/2012 on 19 June 2012 (cf. Related Measures).
