Export-related non-tariff measure, nes

On December 6, 2010, the Bolivian President decided to temporary regulate exports of soybeans, sunflower seeds, flour & meal of soya beans, oilcakes made of soya-bean oil and oilcakes made of sunflower-seed oil (Supreme Decree No 0725).
The regulation aims at ensuring sufficient supply on the domestic market and fair prices.
The products subject to the measure are classified under the following HS codes: 1201.0010, 1201.0090, 1206.0090, 1208.1000, 2304.0000 and 2306.3000.
According to the UN Comtrade Database, in 2009 the following countries imported goods classified under HS codes 1201.00, 1206.00, 1208.10, 2304.00 and 2306.30 from Bolivia with a trade value over the GTA threshold of USD 1 million: Venezuela, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Ecuador.
