Anti-dumping

On November 17, 2009, the Mexican Ministry of Economy decided to initiate a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of concrete steel nails from China.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 7317.0099.
This review follows the applications lodged on October 14 and 20, 2009 by Deacero, S.A. de C.V. and Clavos Nacionales, S.A. de C.V. respectively. The investigation started on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Federation, i.e. on November 27, 2009.
On May 3, 2011, the Mexican authorities terminated the review and decided upon the continuation of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of concrete steel nails originating in China. The amount of the definitive duty is USD 0.54 per kilogram. This duty entered into force on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Federation, i.e. on May 17, 2011. It shall be enforced for a period of five years, starting from November 30, 2009.
The original anti-dumping duty entered into force on November 30, 2004.
 
On November 18, 2014, the Mexican Ministry of Economy decided to initiate a second sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of concrete steel nails originating in China. This review follows the applications lodged on October 16, 2014 by Deacero, S.A.P.I. de C.V.
The review started on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Federation, i.e. on November 28, 2014. The existing anti-dumping duty of USD 0.54 per kilogram remains enforced during the review.
