Local sourcing

On 29 December 2010, the government of Turkey amended its renewable energy law to include a local content requirement.
In the revised law (YEK, 5346), article 6 now states that a higher feed-in tariff (FIT) are granted to renewable energy projects in which some or all construction components have been made in Turkey. The amount of additional compensation varies with the range of components manufactured locally (see source document for details).
