On 30 December 2009, Ministry of Strategy and Finance has announced that it will implement a Special Safeguards (SSG) measure on 25 agricultural products for the year 2010. Compared to the previous year, 4 items are deleted from the list; 0714.90.9090, 1102.90.9000, 1103.11.0000 and 1104.29.9000. According to the ministry, it is because that the imports of those 4 items have decreased last year.
The ministry said that 'the SSG measure is to protect the local producers of those products from either rapid increase of imports, or drop of import price.' The measure is valid from 1 Jan 2010 to 31 Dec 2010.
