On September 28, 2009, the Korean authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of sodium dithionite from China.
This product has been subject to a duty ranging from 12.11% to 36.18% since January 31, 2008. This duty was only imposed for two years and it is supposed to expire on January 30, 2010.
The product subject to investigation is classified under the following HS code: 2831.1000.
On August 6, 2010, the Korean authorities extended the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of sodium dithionite from China. The rate of the duty ranges from 12.25% to 36.18%, depending on the exporting company.
On August 5, 2012, the duty imposed on imports of sodium dithionite from China expired.
