On July 29, 2008, the Argentinian authorities decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of dinner service and coffee & tea sets made of porcelain/ceramic from China (Resolution 187/2008, 29.07.2008).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 6911.1010, 6911.1090, 6911.9000 and 6912.0000.
The complaint was lodged on November 12, 2007 by the Association of Manufacturers of Porcelain, Pottery and Related (Asociación de Fabricantes de Porcelana, Loza y Afines - AFAPOLA). The investigation started on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on August 1, 2008.

On April 1, 2009, the Argentinian authorities decided to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of the above-mentioned products originating in China (Resolution 107/2009, 01.04.2009). The duty takes the form of a minimum FOB export price of USD 4.65 per kilogram. This provisional anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on April 8, 2009, and is applicable for a period of four months.

On September 18, 2009, the Argentinian authorities decided to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of the above-mentioned products originating in China (Resolution 385/2009, 18.09.2009). The duty takes the form of a minimum FOB export price of USD 4.65 per kilogram. This definitive anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on September 25, 2009, and is applicable for a period of five years.

On September 24, 2014, the Argentinian authorities decided to initiate a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on September 18, 2009 by Resolution 385/2009 (Resolution 702/2014, 24.09.2014). This follows the request lodged by the Association of Manufacturers of Porcelain, Pottery and Related (Asociación de Fabricantes de Porcelana, Loza y Afines - AFAPOLA). The review started on the day of the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on September 25, 2014. The existing anti-dumping duty remains in force during the review.

On September 24th, 2015, the Argentinian authorities decided upon the continuation of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of the above-mentioned products from China (Resolution 986/2015, 24.09.2015). The amount of the duty is USD 3.71 per kilogram.
